Here we see a beautiful example of a DOT lightweight 1921 single. Harry Reed made his first motorcycle in 1907,just 12 months after the "Scale" (as it was then known ) motorcycle first came on to the scene. Henry Scale and Harry Reed were friends and in 1925 DOT bought The New Scale Company out, and continued to manufacture reliable motorcycles for some years. In 1908 he entered and won the twin cylinder class of the second T.T. |
