Restoration Project of a 1920 350c.c. New Scale Motorcycle

Photograph of the condition of 1921 New Scale motorcycle when first found

This 1920 New Scale 350 c.c. motorcycle was found "outdoors", along with other vintage motorcycles, lying beneath a heap of old tyres behind a former garage and bus/taxi depot near Humberside,  in the year 2000.

Purchased  at Brooks (now Bonhams) Spring 2000 Classic Motor Cycle Show by the great grandson  Mark Scale, and although the engine was seized, it was found to be in surprisingly good condition and ready for restoration,  which  considering that it had laid in those conditions for many years is a tribute to these early manufacturers in the nineteen twenties
