Restoration Project of a 1919 350c.c. New Scale Motorcycle

Photograph show rear hanger forks have been cut off

In this photograph the rear back hanger forks can be clearly seen to have been cut off. Having no idea what they were like the grandson Derek Scale who did much of the restoration of the project himself had to go to original New Scale drawings used for advertising purposes to see what they looked like.  From these drawings an aeronautical engineer  made technical drawings with all the dimensions needed to restore the original rear hanger forks back to as new. These had to be precise when considering that the motorcycle was belt driven.
